We are of the belief that inspiration can be found everywhere. We are immersed by a relaxed coastal lifestyle and produced this based on what we see each day. Our kids doodling with crayons triggered this event. We find it intriguing that lifestyles are conveyed through fashion, so we helped build this blog. We strive for balance, in our design, and in our lives. Inspiration comes at us from all angles.
Our weekly habits include surfing, skateboarding, taco-munching and a begrudging addiction to strong espressos from our local barista. These are our favourite pursuits, and are centred around self-expression and a need to adapt to constant change; no two waves are the same, every line is carved differently, and the subtle nuances of taste are always different. Our environment is unique, and we are lucky to be a part of it.
It’s common knowledge within the creative industries that Chris is a likeable lad. 15 years of consistently impressive design work will do that. The Bones Brigade VHS copped some severe over-use during Chris’ childhood, and to this day his inspiration is still formed by skate, surf, music, art, design and fashion. You’ll catch Chris giving a new craft beer or single origin coffee a nudge in his spare time, being a firm believer that some good ol’ fashioned hard work entitles one to some good ol’ fashioned grub.
Jake “The Falcon” has an eagle eye for detail. He doesn’t speak in binary code, but with over 12 years experience as an Online Marketer he could probably translate it for you. A wordsmith, Jake uses the blogosphere to vent his creativity in verbal form. Jake’s the first to admit he owns too many tshirts and too many pairs of crazy kicks. But he is quite adamant he will never get too many waves.
Sky diving. Mountain biking. Kite surfing. This is not a list of two-worded extreme sports (well it is, but…) this is just a typical weekend for Alex. With over 10 years of experience as a PHP programmer, he figures he needs to make the most of his time away from computer screens. Alex also likes vegetables more than meat, and music with a beat.
Artery Store is a ladies fashion store located at several South East Queensland markets. Artery required a digital presence that was simple, informative and one that reflected their style.
Thirteen Digital decided a responsive, single page (parallax) scrolling website was the most suitable, this allows for any visitor to easily connect and locate Artery Store markets stalls.
We were given the task to design and develop an entire new digital presence for Tweed Tourism. By utilising their fantastic image library we were able to create a design that reflected the region.
We developed the website using a content management system which allows Tweed Tourism to easily maintain their content. It also enable local operators to create their own profile which promotes their business.
Not only did we design and develop the QMHC website, but we also developed their brand. The QMHC brand we developed encapsulates mental health issues in Queensland, and is now used across all of QMHC’s collateral including stationery, print, signage and digital executions.
The QMHC website has been developed to educate Queenslanders on the Commission’s role, share information, publish documents, promote projects and encourage participation in the mental health and harmful drugs space. The website adheres to the QLD Government’s strict consistent user experience (CUE) guidelines, while enabling the client to maintain the site’s content using a Content Management System.
Mobicon Systems is a Brisbane-based business servicing an international market. Mobicon develops industrial machinery designed to large items such as shipping containers, and required a website of equal stature and reach in order to to meet and appeal to international standards.
A new site was developed for Mobicon Systems by Thirteen Digital to showcase their unique and innovative product. To ensure that every potential customer finds out about Mobicon, ongoing Search Engine Optimisation and Pay-Per-Click initiatives are also managed by Thirteen.
This postcard is a little piece we designed and printed for Misfit Media last summer. We wanted to try and capture Misfit Media’s lifestyle and daily inspiration. It was ironic at the time of printing a cyclone was ripping through the state.
Each postcard was personalised and sent to Misfit’s clients. There’s something neat about receiving a note that someone has taken the time to write.
Vanguard Fashion are a relaxed mens fashion brand who find inspiration in coastal and creative lifestyles, and were seeking a web presence to match. Through a collaborative approach Thirteen Digital produced a website design which reflected the brand while subtly incorporating best practice ecommerce design and functionality to maximise online sales.
Now launched, Thirteen Digital continues to support the Vanguard Fashion with their Online and Search Marketing initiatives to maintain consistent online sales throughout all seasons.
CORE Project Managers specialise in the management building and construction projects. Nestled within an industry which often misses the importance of strong branding, we designed a new corporate identity and website for CORE Project Managers which stands out from of the crowd.
The CORE team are based on the Gold Coast, and are passionate about their work and innovation. We think shows in their new look.
Ange is a blogger who loves fashion. She wanted to take her existing blog, based on a free platform called Blogger, to the next level. The restrictions of the free Blogger platform were cramping her style and potential.
We developed a brand identity for Her Heart Cries Fowl, and incorporated this into the design of a new self-hosted WordPress blog which reflects Ange’s personality. HHCF’s Facebook Page has also been customised to maintain consistency across all of Ange’s preferred methods of spreading the word.
The RP1 Building in Varsity Lakes offers a unique proposition to the commercial property market on the Gold Coast, and the head of tenancy required a method of showcasing this property’s unmatched benefits to potential leasers.
Thirteen Digital developed a brand identity specifically reflecting the key benefit of this property, that being the fibre-optic cable throughout the premises, as well as a website which elaborates on the characteristics and benefits of tenancy at the RP1. The site also captures key contact information from potential tenants via strategically positioned online forms.
Let’s Face It is an art show like no other. A night of live screen printing by acclaimed local and international artists + live graffiti + DJs + refreshments + a creative gallery setting requires a lot of organisation, and Thirteen Digital have done it all…..twice!
With the first event being a success in November 2012, and the second happening in May 2013 with a turnout 10 times as large, we have a feeling that there will be more Let’s Face It events to come just around the corner.
